CrisisCamp Paris follow up: new energies to help in humanitarian crisis
Francesco has published a blog post about the 2011 Summit of European CrisisCamps.
"It was in Paris at the 2011 Summit of European CrisisCamps, that I felt, understood, the true power of the Crisis Campers fast growing community: no tweet, blog post, article, or paper can replace the experience of being in person within that small crowd of extremely motivated, capable and genuinely devout people! (and yet I’m blogging in the hope that some reader will get inspired)."

A new partnership and a new project: GEM Nexus
Our team has worked with GEM for the first version of GEM Nexus, a platform supporting worldwide collaboration on earthquake risk assessment and modeling.
The Global Earthquake Model initiative (GEM) aims to establish uniform, open standards to calculate and communicate earthquake risk worldwide.
We are glad to have started to work with GEM, as we embrace and share the same philosophy.
The first version of the GEM Nexus platform has just been released and we will continue to make it evolve, to always better serve the needs of its worldwide community.
At EuroPython 2011, Firenze
Reflab will participate to the EuroPhython, in Firenze (Italy) the 20th to the 26th of June 2011.
"EuroPython is the official European conference about the Python programming language. It is aimed at everyone in the Python community, of all skill levels, both users and programmers.
EuroPython is an occasion to follow interesting talks, hands-on trainings, do some networking, recruite qualified staff or be recruited by great firms, and last but not least follow funky PyEvents."
This year Europython has come very close to us, in the beautiful Firenze, thanks to our friends at Develer!
We have great expectation and we hope to meet there the many friends and colleagues that have embraced Python.

Moving to new headquarters
Reflab will be soon moving to new, larger offices.
We are growing and will be moving to a larger and more functional office: 140 squaremeters plus another 100 of terrace; two large meeting rooms and a confortable kitchen.
The new office is located in Cascina, not far from the current one, but we particularly like very name of the street: via della Pace (translation: Peace).
More precisely the new address is:
Operational Headquarters
Via della Pace, 6
56021 Cascina (PI) Italy

Keep in touch....
