Francesco Ciriaci

Managing director and co-founder.

Over the past nine years I have helped many international organizations designing better solutions and tools, in particular in the humanitarian sector.

Being a web-technology fan my true dream is to have a role in the design and development of a truly disruptive web project that would benefit the humanitarian sector.

I've had the chance to work with really great developers and web designers and I'm very proud of the team I manage and to deliver solutions aimed to a better world.

I've been, since 2002, deeply involved in the development of the open source CMS Plone, for which I've also served as a Board member in the Plone Foundation.

Reflab has been one of the first Italian open source companies and the first to bring Plone to Italy and I'm recognized not only for his approach/skills in project management but also as an expert in Open Source business models.

I have also been involved in startup projects on e-participation, e-democracy and knowledge sharing. In 2009 with a small group of friends, I created a web startup: Miomood.

Miomood is a pure social project, that wants to increase worldwide empathy through online social interaction and gaming.

I have an University degree in Economics earned in Pisa with a thesis on Open Source business models.

Interests:

Design, ideas, startups, technology, social networks, global politics and economics, participation, playing games and painting.
