Francesco Ciriaci

Francesco is the managing director and co-founder of Reflab.

Francesco is the managing director and co-founder of Reflab. Over the past eight years Francesco has helped design innovative web solutions and tools for international organizations expecially in humanitarian sector.

Francesco is the main Reflab project manager and web architect: in 2008 he started applying agile techniques to project management and UI design.

Being a web-technology fan Francesco true dream is to have a role in the design and development of a truly disruptive web project that would benefit the humanitarian sector.

He has had the chance to work with really great developers and web designers and he is very proud of the team he manages and to deliver solutions aimed to a better world.

Francesco has been, since 2002, deeply involved in the development of the open source CMS Plone, for which he has also served as a Board member in the Plone Foundation.

Reflab has been one of the first Italian open source companies and the first to bring Plone to Italy and Francesco is recognized not only for his approach/skills in project management but also as an expert in Open Source business models.

He has also been involved in startup projects on e-participation, e-democracy and knowledge sharing. In 2009 with a small group of friends, Francesco created a new web startup: Miomood.

Miomood is a pure social project, that wants to increase worldwide empathy through online social interaction and gaming.

Francesco has an University degree in Economics earned in Pisa with a thesis on Open Source business models.
